Cognitive Behavioral Therapy supports students who struggle with executive functioning weaknesses that impact their academic performance and skill development. Often these are students are diagnosed with ADHD, but students who are struggling academically may also benefit from these kinds of supports. These strategies focus on improving attention, organization, time management, study skills, and overall self awareness towards building academic independence. Adults who struggle with managing activities of daily living in work and relationships may also benefit from this intervention. Often times, executive functioning issues are accompanied by strong feelings of frustration, anxiety, low motivation and poor self esteem. These feeling states are explored and strategies are developed to improve overall emotional well being in this approach.
